Am I watching Groundhog Day? I feel as though I am stuck in a loop of watching Georgetown build up a lead in the first half, only to see it squandered in the second half. I suppose weā€™re just a first half team? In all fairness, I donā€™t have much room to criticize. I canā€™t hit the broad side of a barn recently, but I have a question for all zero of my loyal followers out there: do I look like a quitter to you guys? This is a volatile business with ups and downs; Iā€™m not discouraged by a simple skid. There is only one direction we can go from here: up, up, up to the moon!!!!

Rivalry renewed. As we know, Syracuse and Georgetown have history, and thereā€™s surely no love lost between these teams. Records aside, pride is on the line in these games. The last time these two teams matched up was in a rowdy Capital One Arena in December of 2019. Being in attendance, I can attest that the energy pulsing throughout the building that day was pure electricity. While that atmosphere will unfortunately be lacking today, veterans like Jahvon Blair and Jamorko Pickett know how much this matchup matters and will certainly communicate that to their younger teammates. A prime time game on ESPN against your historical biggest rivals? If that doesnā€™t spark some life into this Georgetown squad, Iā€™m not sure anything can. Itā€™s only right that we have some fun with a game like this. Call me optimistic, but Iā€™m all in on the Hoyas tonight. Given the way this season has played out, this game should be their Super Bowl. For that reason, Iā€™m throwing all stats out the window today and putting my faith in the Hoyas that, well, have let me down in the past, but will not tonight (they have to be tired of blowing leads, right?). I should also mention that I read Action Network like it is the morning paper, and my belief in a shootout tonight stems from this piece if you want to hear about the nitty gritty. Take it or leave it, but I am going to turn it around sooner than later. Why not start today? Letā€™s juice ā€˜Cuse.

Lets just say I am back from the dead, and I smell blood (or even better, orange juice). After hitting my +1100 Georgetown 1h win margin by 7-9 bet to once again drag myself into positive territory, there is nothing stopping me. Ladies and gentlemen, call me the Undertaker.

Either way, itā€™s time for the biggest game of the year. Frankly, with the state of this team, I donā€™t care about Big East play. I simply care that the Hoyas do not embarrass themselves against the most overrated team in the country. I mean cā€™mon Kenpom, you cannot tell me Syracuse is the 36th best team in the country when their best win came against a 2-8 Boston College team. By no means am I saying Georgetown is a better team, but being the loyal Hoya that I am, I will bet my lifeā€™s savings on the fact that a team led by the one and only Buddy Boeheim isnā€™t much better. Buddy, I know daddy wants to make you feel good, even with your lackluster play on the court, but cā€™mon man, even I can shoot 29% from the field, and I donā€™t have a scholarship to play at any Power 5 schools. So letā€™s just say that until the team whose mascot is a literal color proves to me that they can compete at a high level, give me Georgetown and give me those points any day. I know confidence usually comes to kill me, but when youā€™re playing your biggest rival, confidence is all I need.

As for the other bets, Iā€™m going to continue to pound the first half Hoyas. A captain must go down with his ship, so these bets may make or break me today, but thatā€™s not going to stop me from riding this wave (much like those surfers whose FS2 broadcasts always get interrupted so we can watch our bad team get blown out). Call this a hot take, but Georgetown is the best first half team in the country. If basketball were a 20 game, the Hoyas would currently have a little number one next to their name on the scoreboard, but sadly there is something about the second half that Patrick Ewing and his boys donā€™t like. I donā€™t get paid enough to spill the secret as to what that is, so letā€™s just say Iā€™m doing anything and everything in my power to stay away from the second half in a game like this.

Iā€™m feeling like thereā€™s a big run in my future. Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Muhammad Ali, Michael Vick, and soon Armen Haratunian: all great players to make amazing comebacks. Of course, betting is important, but all that matters is that we #JuiceCuāŒe.

Alright, alright, alright, Iā€™ll keep this brief. We all know thereā€™s ten hours of commercial-filled football today, but thereā€™s a primetime basketball game we ALL care about. The hex has remained with me for 2021, and Iā€™m looking forward to it getting the hell out of here. As you probably didnā€™t read in my bio, I despise the unnamed opponent of Georgetown so much I do not drink orange juice. Georgetown is a notorious first half team, so Iā€™ll roll with everyone else (sorry kids) and take them to reach 10 points first. Personally, I feel that while these Hoyas have shown the talent to compete, theyā€™ve lacked the determination and conviction to hold leads, and theyā€™ll be fighting from behind for most of the game. I like a sneaky back door cover here, and for me to bounce back, once and for all, in the most important game of the regular season for Georgetown. Iā€™m not sure what high-horse Armenā€™s riding on when discussing his imminent ā€œbig runā€, but I have what heā€™s having, I guess. I have always loved the attention and minutes Buddy Boeheim gets as the son of the head coach, but man he sucks. Iā€™ll leave you with a note for the man across from Coach Ewing today, Jim Boeheim. FADE ME.

P.S. Absolutely dying to see some action of Jack with the Orangeman on a skateboard today. Make it happen.
