Thompson’s Towel is seeking current Georgetown students to help with its coverage for the upcoming season!
Thompson’s Towel is an entirely student-run outlet that writes features, detailed analysis and opinion articles, and drops the occasional hot take about the Georgetown men’s basketball program.
We’re primarily looking for writers, but we’re open to anyone who wants to join, including graphic designers and video editors. Better yet- have an idea for a role you could take? Pitch it to us, and we’ll work with you! Never written before? That’s okay! All you need is a passion for Georgetown hoops, and we’ll work with you on your pieces and help you develop your skills!
We’re looking for a variety of perspectives, both in terms of writing and fanhood. If you’ve got a hot take, we want to hear it. If you’d like to write an article with quantitative analysis, we’ll help you get it done.
In “normal” times, we’ve helped our writers and photographers get press passes to cover the games courtside and attend media availabilities, so if you’re looking to get more into the world of sports journalism, we can help you out.
